RVD is one of the most unique performers in all THREE leagues - I speak of WWE, WCW
and ECW. This is a guy who has blended martial arts, gymnastics and wrestling into a
complete package, which at tims is not always respected by the WWE. I also see at times
people get on RVD's case for not selling or just going through the motions, working a
checklist of moves. Perhaps this is WWE's fault - they've installed a "Safe" style that has
limited some of the high-flying offense and chaos that befits RVD's wrestling style.

Rob also brings a mindset atypical of wrestlers - he is the most laid back person I have ever
met, anywhere. Some would  construe this as a lack of intensity or weakness. Quite the
contrary - this is someone with supreme confidence in his abilities, molded from his
kickboxing training, workout regimen and extensive warmup routine that has probably saved
him from countless other injuries in his career.

I've had the honor of meeting him several times, but one of the best would be in Dayton
when the ECW "Rise and Fall" DVD was released. He referred to me as "Paul E", shook my
hand, then walked to the autograph session with me as though I were his manager!

I am proud to say that I was in attendance at ONS II to see Rob Van Dam claim the WWE
title for himself!

I can't say I'm proud that I got a speeding ticket on the same road where he and Sabu got
busted.

The pic that brought you here was taken in Ft. Wayne, IN in April 2007. Thanks again,
Zenmeister!
